Hi I’m Sonia, the creative behind the Dreadlocks Society.

Dreadlocks, to me, are more than just hair. They are a commitment, a lifestyle, a spiritual journey.

 

My loc love began in highschool, but I knew nothing of techniques, crocheting, maintenance and the necessity of really freaking great quality products for really freaking great locs.

​

Finally I took the plunge with an amazing and gentle Adelaide loctician. From here I dove deep into the journey. I unearthed the connection with nature, spirit, strength and community behind dreads.

​

As I discovered the intention, power and values of the dreadlock odyssey, I felt the products I tested were missing the same intention, power and values. 

​

And so I researched, tested and sought out a supplier with an ethos that aligned. To provide the dreadlock community with exclusive, science formulated, botanically derived, quality blends for the ultimate in giving your locs love.
